Coffee (Coffea arabica L) was introduced in the State of Espirito Santo in the beginning of XIX century, due to the expansion of the cultivated areas of the Paraiba Valley, Sao Paulo. Coffee monoculture was the predominant activity in Espirito Santo agriculture at the end of this century. It occupied the f?irst place in the economy and, from 1850, became the main vector of development and responsible for the formation of villages, towns and cities. O objetivo do trabalho foi comparar quantitativamente (volume e peso) processos de compostagem utilizando diferentes concentrações de ramos triturados de gliricídia. Para isso, foi utilizado o DIC, com 3 repetições. Cada repetição foi constituída por pilha de composto orgânico. Foram avaliados 6 tratamentos, a saber: 10% de gliricídia + 90% de capim (T1); 20% de gliricídia + 80% de capim (T2); 30% de gliricídia + 70% de capim (T3); 40% de gliricídia + 60% de capim (T4); 50% de gliricídia + 50% de capim
(T5); e 30% de esterco bovino + 70% de capim (T6). Para volume, ocorreu maior valor de rendimento final para T6 comparado aos outros tratamentos, com média 0,29 m3. Consequentemente foi o tratamento que sofreu menor perda (0,41 m3) e menor redução de volume (58,57%). Entre os tratamentos em que foram utilizadas diferentes concentrações de ramos triturados de gliricídia (T1 a T5), não houve diferença significativa para os parâmetros analisados. Esses dados devem ser analisados com cautela, pois, para inferir sobre o tratamento de maior potencial, essas informações quantitativas devem ser corroboradas por informações qualitativas, provenientes de análises da composição química dos compostos formados. |
